What Types of Files Can I Store or View on Dropbox?

Dropbox allows you to store or view photos, videos, documents, movies, music, internet downloads and much more. You can not see an image which is greater than 50 MB or 50 mega pixels. Dropbox allows you to create a link to a video to share it with others. When you create a link to a video in your Dropbox you will be able to watch the full video, and anyone you share the link with will be able to view the first 15 minutes on a preview page. To view the full length video, recipients will need to download the file to their computer.

Following are the file extentions that are preview as a image in Dropbox: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tiff, .tif, .gif, .bmp, .ai, .eps (web only), .svg, .psd.

Following are the file extentions that are preview as a video in Dropbox: .3gp, .3gpp, .3gpp2, .avi, .mov, .mp4, .wmv, .m4v, .mpg, .mkv, .mpeg, .vob, .flv, .mts, .m2t, .ts, .dv.
