How to backup photos from camera to Dropbox on Windows PC?

Dropbox is an online cloud storage service by Dropbox Inc. Dropbox allows you to backup photos, videos, files & documents to cloud storage and access them from anywhere. Dropbox has a 'Camera Upload' feature which allows you to backup photos & videos automatically to your Dropbox account. To use Camera upload feature you need to download the latest version of 'Dropbox Desktop application' on your Windows PC.

Here are the steps to enable Camera Upload feature:


  1. Download & install 'Dropbox Desktop application' on your Windows PC.
  2. Click "Start menu" on your Windows PC.
  3. Click "Control panel".
  4. Open "Cameras and Scanners".
  5. Right-click on your camera & select "Properties" from the contextual menu.
  6. Click "Events" tab & select an event "Camera Connected" from the drop-down menu.
  7. Select the radio button next to "Start this program".
  8. Choose "Dropbox" from the drop-down menu.
  9. All your photos will now be backed up to Dropbox.
