Google Photos allows you to back up and organize photos from your different devices in a single place, it also provides access to various useful features, like tools and filters to edit your photos and videos. If you want to view and edit photos stored in your Google Drive using Google Photos, follow the process below: 

If you have photos in Google Drive that you want to view or edit using Google Photos, you can turn on this setting in Google Photos.
  • Go to photos.google.com/settings.
  • Turn on the Google Drive setting.
Notes:
  • If you edit photos in Google Photos, those changes will not show in Google Drive.
  • If your account is through work, school, or other groups, you won't be able to turn this setting on.
