How to Sync Individual Folders in Google Drive?

Google Drive has a 'My Drive' feature where all your uploaded, stored and created files and folders are saved. Everything in 'My Drive' will sync to your Google Drive folder, unless you choose to sync individual folders. To sync an individual folder, you need to check the box next to 'Only sync some folders to this computer' option.

Following are the steps to Sync Individual Folders in Google Drive:

  1. Organize your photos, videos and files into folders which you want to sync.
  2. Click "Google Drive" icon on your computer. If you are using Mac, then you will see the icon located in the menu bar at the top right of your desktop screen. If you are using PC, then you will see the icon located in the task bar in the bottom right of your desktop screen.
  3. Click "3 vertical dots" icon located at the top right corner the screen.
  4. Select "Preferences" option.
  5. Check the box located next to "Only sync some folders to this computer".
  6. Select the folders which you would like to sync to your Google Drive folder.
