Google Drive is a cloud storage service used to backup photos, videos, files and other documents. You can access those photos and videos from anywhere on any device with an Internet connection. If you want to move photos from Instagram to Google Drive on a Mac machine, then you need to first download photos from Instagram on your Mac and then upload them to your Google Drive account. Once you have downloaded photos to Mac, you can either upload photos to Google Drive via 'drag-and-drop' feature or upload them manually to your Google Drive account.
Here are the steps to Move Photos from Instagram to Google Drive on Mac:
- Go to http://instagram.com/ & sign in to your account.
- You will see all your photos & videos.
- Right-click the photo that you want to download.
- Select "Inspect Element" option.
- You will see the link to download that photo. Right-click the link and select "Edit as HTML" option.
- You will see the URL. Select the URL from 'http:// to .jpg'.
- Right-click the URL and select "Copy" option.
- Copy the link & open it in your new tab.
- Right-click the photo & select "Save Image As" option.
- A pop-up window opens up. You will see "Export As" option.
- Rename the photo and click "Save" button.
- This way your photo will be downloaded to Mac.
- Go to https://drive.google.com & sign in to your account.
- Click "Create" button located on the left side & select "Folder" option. Specify a folder name for your photo album.
- Click on the folder you created.
- To upload photos to this folder, click "Upload" button located next to the create button.
- Select "File" option.
- A "File upload" window opens up. Navigate & select the photos that you want to upload.
- Once your photos are successfully uploaded, you will be prompted with a message that says "Upload complete".
- You have another option to upload the photos i.e "Drag-and-drop". Here you can simply drag your photos directly from your Mac to a location in your Google Drive.
