Dropbox is a cloud storage & file synchronization service. With the 'Camera Upload' feature in Dropbox, you can upload photos and videos to Dropbox account from your iPhone, iPad or any other device. To use 'Camera Upload' feature on iPhone or iPad, you need to download and install latest version of the iOS app. Once you install Dropbox app on your iPhone or iPad and first time you start up the app, you will be asked wheather you would like to enable 'Camera Upload'. If you tap 'Enable', then Dropbox will automatically upload your photos and videos to Camera Uploads folder within Dropbox account. By default, Camera Upload will only upload over Wi-Fi connection. You can change your settings to upload photos and videos using your cellular data plan. You can view all your photos and videos in the Dropbox app by selecting the 'Photos' tab which is located at the bottom on the screen.
Dropbox has a "Background Uploading" feature which helps large Camera Uploads finish withoout needing you to open the Dropbox app. To turn "Background Uploading" ON, go to the "Camera Upload" section in the Dropbox app settings and tap "Background Uploading". If you turn ON the "Background Uploading" feature, the app will automatically resume uploads whenever it detects a significant change in your iPhone's or iPad's location. This "Background Uploading" feature is designed to make Camera Upload work more efficiently.
