Why backup RAW video files?

A person who is into video producing, editing, and videography business understands the value & importance of a RAW file. For them, backing up the RAW video footage is the most important task. For if anything happens to the edited video, they can simply re-create it only if they have backed up the RAW file. Or else, they'll have to re-create the scene and re-shoot it all the way, which is not just time consuming but can be expensive too. Here are three main convincing reasons to backup RAW video files: 1. The final edited video can go corrupt anytime : Despite careful handling we understand that a video file can go corrupt anytime without any prior intimation. It may happen while transferring from one system to other or from one SC card to other. You can't really say as to when your digital data can get corrupt. SAME is the case with videos. 2. Accidental deletion : We take utmost good care of our final edited videos, but a single mistake can ruin it forever. An accidental delete can cost us a lot if we haven't backed up the RAW video file.
