- Open "iPhoto" on your Mac.
- Select the photos which you want to add to a shared photo stream.
- You have 3 options to add to a shared photo stream.
a) Click "Share" button located in the toolbar and click "iCloud" and then click a shared stream.
b) Click "Add To" button located in the toolbar and click "iCloud" and then click a shared stream.
c) Drag photos to "iCloud" located in the Source list and click a shared stream. - Select any one of the above 3 options.
- Enter a comment if you want.
- Click "Publish" button.
- Your photos will now be added to a shared photo stream on Mac using iPhoto.

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
