What are the Upload Limitations in Flickr?

Flickr offers 1 TB of free storage space to all its user. It is enough space to upload countless memories to Flickr. But, Flickr has some limitations for uploading photos and videos.

Flickr Photo Upload Limitations and Supported File Types:
  • Flickr has the upload limit for a photo file i.e up to 200 MB.
  • Photo can be no more than 31.25 times wider than they are tall.
  • You can upload photos in most file formats, but only .JPEG, .GIF (non-animated), and PNG are natively supported. Other formats will be converted to .JPEG.
  • Your original and completely uncompressed versions of your photos are always saved to Flickr, along with several alternate photo sizes for you to use the web.

Flickr Video Upload Limitations: 
  • Flickr has the upload limit for a video file i.e 1 GB.
  • Video playback on Flickr is constrained to the first 3 minutes. If your video is longer than 3 minutes, then edit it into 3-minute sections before uploading to Flickr.
