Dropbox is a famoous cloud storage service in the world. It is reliable and easy to use. You can easily upload photos and videos to Dropbox from Mac OS X. First, you need to install the Dropbox Desktop Application on your Mac OS X. Once the installation is done, it creates a 'Dropbox' folder inside your home folder. The Dropbox folder works like any other folder on your Mac computer. Anything you add to the Dropbox folder will automatically sync to the web and any other computer or mobile device. There are two ways to upload photos from Mac to Dropbox i.e. using the PicBackMan desktop app or via the Dropbox app.

A. The PicBackMan Way:
  1. Connect your Dropbox account from ACCOUNTS tab.
  2. On ‘Photos’ tab click ‘Associate Photo Folder’ button, you see on the page’. Browse and select folder that you wish to upload to Dropbox.
Note: You can associate as many folders as you want.
  3. Check mark the box corresponding to ‘Dropbox’ icon and then click ‘upload’ button located at the bottom of the window
  4. That’s it, PicBackMan’s Dropbox Uploader for Mac will now upload all the photos
B. Using DropBox App for Mac:
  1. Install "Dropbox desktop application" on your Mac. It creates a folder on your systems hard disk. The folder is named "Dropbox".
  2. Browse through your photos on your mac & simply drag-and-drop them to Dropbox folder.
  3. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/ & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
  4. Click "Upload" button located at the top of the menu bar.
  5. A pop-up window opens up. Click "Choose File" button & select the photos on your computer which you want to upload. You can choose as many photos as you want or you may also select entire photo folders to upload.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!

PicBackMan was really easy to setup and has been running for 3 days now backing up all my locally saved photos to Flickr. My photos are really valuable to me so it's great to be able to have them easily backed up to a secure location.

It's AWESOME!! I have tens of thousands of pictures...and they are now successfully uploaded to SmugMug, where they are safely backed up, and I can edit and organize them. If you are hesitating about using PicBackMan, hesitate no longer...try it...and you'll be glad you did!!
