Apple has provided iCloud and Photos app to manage your photos on iPhone or iPad. But if you want to sync your iPhone photos to your Chromebook, then you can use Google Drive instead of iCloud.
Following are the steps to Sync iPhone Photos to Chromebook using Google Drive:
Upload Photos from iPhone to Google Drive:
- Go to https://drive.google.com & sign in to your account.
- Download and install "Google Drive" app on your iPhone from the Apple App store.
- Tap "Google Drive" app on your iPhone.
- Tap "+" button located at the top right corner of the screen.
- You will see 2 options i.e. "Upload" and "Use Camera".
- If you select "Upload" option, you will get another set of options to choose from i.e "Photos and Videos", "iCloud" and "More".
- Select "Upload Photos or Videos" option to upload photos that exist on your device. Select "iCloud" option to store photos and videos that you have in iCloud. Or Select "More" option, if you want to store content you may have in another Compatible app.
- You may be prompted to allow Google Drive permission to access your photos. Tap "Ok" button.
- Select the album that holds the photos you want to upload and then tap on the photos you want to upload.
- Click "Upload" button.
Download Photos from Google Drive to Chromebook:
- Go to https://drive.google.com & sign in to your account.
- Click the checkbox(es) located next to the photos that you want to download.
- "Right click" the selected photos and select "Download" option.
- Your browser prompts you to save .zip file, click "Save" and specify a location to download. The downloaded zip file will contain the photos you selected.
- You have another option to download photos to computer i.e. select the photos and click "More" tab located at the top of the screen and choose "Download" button.
- This is how you can sync iPhone Photos to Chromebook using Google Drive.
