Dropbox has a feature "Automatic Photo Upload" which allows you to automatically backup photos and videos to you Dropbox account. When you turn it ON, you photos and videos will automatically upload to its server. When you turn ON "Camera Uploads", every photo you take gets backed up into the cloud and get synced across all your devices including desktop.

Steps to Disable Dropbox Selective Sync on Windows XP:

  1. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/ & sign in to your account.
  2. Download and install "Dropbox Desktop Application" on your Windows XP.
  3. Click "Dropbox" icon from the system tray.
  4. Click "Gear" icon.
  5. Select "Preferences..." from the menu.
  6. Click "Account" tab.
