How to Automatically Backup Photos from iPhone to Picasa Web?

Picasa web is now integrated into Google+ account. You can easily backup iPhone photos and videos to Google+ or Picasa web account by using 'Google+ Auto Backup' feature. This feature allows you to automatically backup photos and videos from iPhone to your Google+ account. When you are trying to turn ON Auto Backup feature, you will see a message 'Please turn ON access to Photos in your device Policy settings to allows Google+ to access your photos and videos". That means you need to allow the Google+ app to access your photos. To allow Google+ app, open your iPhone's settings and tap 'Privacy' and then 'Photos'. Switch ON 'Google+' app on your iPhone.

Here are the steps to Automatically Backup Photos from iPhone to Picasa Web:

  1. Go to https://plus.google.com/ & sign in to your account.
  2. Download "Google+ app" on your iPhone from the Apple App store & launch it.
  3. Open the "Google+" app on your iPhone.
  4. Tap the menu icon.
  5. Tap "Gear" icon located at the top right corner on the screen.
  6. Select "Camera and Photos" option.
  7. Tap "Auto Backup" option.
  8. A "Auto Backup" option page opens up.
  9. Move the slider from left to right to turn ON "Auto Backup" feature.
  10. All your photos will now be automatically backed up to Picasa Web from iPhone device.
