How to automatically backup photos from iPhone to Photobucket?

Last Updated :

Photobucket is a photo and video sharing website. Photobucket was founded in 2003 by Alex Welch and Darren Crystal. Photobucket has a "Auto Backup" feature which is the best way to automatically backup your photos and videos from your iPhone. By default, your photos will be auto-organized in your 'Mobile Uploads' album in Photobucket. You will need to disable "Auto Organize" before changing your Default Upload folder in Photobucket. Choose to use "Wi-Fi only" when you auto backing up photos and videos.

Here are the steps to automatically backup photos from iPhone to Photobucket:

  • Go to http://photobucket.com/ & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
  • If you have 'Photobucket app' installed on your iPhone, launch it. Or else download it from the Apple App store.
  • Tap "Photobucket" icon located at the top left corner of the screen.
  • Select "Upload Settings" option.
  • Turn "Auto Backup" ON.
  • Tap "Get Started" button. After tapping "Get Started" it will immediately begin the backup process.
  • All your photos now will be automatically backed up from your iPhone into the album named 'Mobile Uploads', on your Photobucket account.

You can install PicBackMan's Photobucket uploader for Mac from the website and start backing up photos and videos.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
