How to Share Private Gallery on SmugMug?

You can share your photos and galleries on SmugMug privately to the people you choose to share. The casual visitors of your site won’t be accessible to these galleries. This feature is not available on the basic account, you’ll have to upgrade to the Power and up accounts. Have a look at how to share private gallery on SmugMug for Power and up accounts.

How to Share Private Gallery on SmugMug?

  • Select the gallery you wish to share privately, click ‘Customize” and then go to ‘Gallery Settings’. in the header toolbar.
  • Alternatively, click ‘Settings’ in the Organizer toolbar.
  • Go to ‘Security & Sharing’ tab, on the right side of the ‘Access’ button, click the dropdown menu and select ‘People I Choose’.
  • A new box will appear which says, ‘Invite People’.
  • Here, add email address of the people you would like to invite to view your photos.
  • If you are entering the email address at once, then separate them with commas.
  • Currently, you can invite 200 people to view your gallery privately.
  • Once you are done entering the email addresses, click ‘Save’.
  • A pop-up will appear ‘Invitation Emails Sent’.
  • You have successfully shared your photos and galleries to the people you chose.

Now, you just have to sit and wait for the people you have invited to accept the notification and sign up for guest account.
