How to Add Keywords on SmugMug?
‘Google it’ is the most emerging term in today’s world. Adding keywords on your site can help your admirers find you easily from any search engines. You can add keywords on SmugMug photos to show off your photographs to the Internet world. Here’s a guide on how to add keywords on SmugMug. You can even edit or remove these keywords whenever you want.
How to Add Keywords on SmugMug?
You can either add it one at a time or in bulk, we’ll tell you both the process.
Add Keywords One at a Time on SmugMug
- In SmugMug style or in the Lightbox, click ‘Keywords’ or pencil icon to add keywords for a specific photo.
- Another way is to select a photo in your gallery, and you’ll find a wrench icon at the bottom right of the image.
- Click on it to open the photo tool menu and select ‘Open in Editor’.
- Choose ‘Title, Caption, and Keywords’.
- Here, add your keywords separated by commas or semicolons.
- If it is a phrase, you can separate them by semicolons or enclose in quotes.
- Click ‘Save’ and refresh the page to view the keywords under the photo.
How to Add Keywords in Bulk on SmugMug?
- Go to the ‘Organizer’ and select the gallery you want to add keywords.
- Now, select all the photos you wish to add keywords to.
- Click the wrench icon and select ‘Title, Caption, and Keywords’.
- Enter your keywords on ‘All Selected’ section to add in all your photos.
- The ‘Some Selected’ box shows some keywords that exist in some of the photos, but not in all.
- If you want add keyword from ‘Some’ to ‘All’, just click the plus sign next to the words on ‘Some Selected’ box.
- You’ll also see two options to ‘Remove All’ or ‘Remove Numeric’.
- Lastly, click ‘Save’.
How to Edit Keywords on SmugMug?
- Double-click the keywords you wish to edit or select it hitting ‘Enter’.
- Type your changes, and once you finish editing, and hit ‘Enter’ key.
- If you don’t want to save the changes you have made, just hit the ‘Esc’ key.
Your visitors won’t be search for any keywords from Unlisted or Password-protected galleries. SmugMug helps you index only first 1000 keywords for each photo and it takes around 24 hours to make it searchable.
