When the wedding bells finally ring, it is pure magic! We are all storytellers at heart and the most important story to be captured is that one fairy-tale moment of your life, your wedding. Wedding photography is nothing short of magic, the spread of colors, the blushing bride and groom, the purity of the ceremonies, the intense emotions, the food and drinks and the blessings from folks, each a special part of a story waiting to be captured.
Little tips for the photo shoot
For the photographer
Wedding photography is deeply satisfying. Quality photographs need a lot of planning: talking with the couple to be in sync, keep a list of shots, visit the venue which would enable you to figure out the list of equipments to be carried, and may also give an immediate perspective for the photo shoot. Be prepared for the unexpected; carry extra batteries, memory cards, and laptop for transfer. If possible a second photographer could help as you may be unable to capture parallel events, and an extra hand will make a difference. Shoot in RAW, and keep photographing basics in mind like using flash, reflectors, diffused light and using various angles. Most importantly just trust your instincts and have fun.
For the Bride
Every girl makes the prettiest bride on her special day, so just relax, connect to all moments, trust your photographer, be yourself and you will look great. The bride should follow every little instruction that the stylist shares and have the facial, haircut as per the time-line to look perfect. On the D-day, after the bridal make-up, hair-do and the final adorning, have a test photograph to check out the final outcome and fix up any blotchy look. Hydrate through the day. Practice posing (if you need). Smile and just be yourself with every emotion.
For the Groom
Every boy makes a really handsome groom on his special day, if you have a lot running on your mind, channelize your thoughts, relax, trust the photographer and you will look great. Do follow all grooming tips shared by your stylist, shaving, manicure, pedicure and facial just as instructed. Don’t disturb your make-up even though you may not be used to it. Arrange your attire. Eat and hydrate well. Relax, Smile and be ready to be captured.
For the Couple
A photographer’s delight is capturing the blushing bride and groom. Connect well to the photographer. Share info on the attire, venue, the theme and how you met as a couple. The photographer can experiment with angles, and also make the couple pose. This is the you-time for the couple; enjoy these moments.
The family together and much more
As a photographer, you would not want to miss capturing on any individual; co-oridnating with an insider could help. Go with the flow; try capturing the rituals minus interference. Remember the list of shots and keep continuously capturing so your story line would get the necessary inputs.
