How to Transfer Photos from Dropbox to Google Drive?

The digital revolution in the field of digital photography has, on the one hand, simplified the process of taking photos while at the same time created a problem of optimal storage these photos. Dropbox and Google drive are two such cloud storage services that allows the users to create a backup of their important photos and images and other files.

Nowadays an increasing trend is seen among the users to transfer their images from Dropbox account to Google Drive account. This is essentially because Google Drive offers free storage space of 5 GB whereas the Dropbox offers a free storage space of 2 GB only. Additionally, Google Drive also provides many features and facilities that are otherwise absent in Dropbox.

How to do it?

1. Firstly, navigate to http://www.dropbox.com/ and sign in to your account.
2. Locate the folder, the content of which you want to transfer.
3. Download the images and photos from this folder to your system. It is advisable that you save these photos in a new folder.
4. Then go to http://drive.google.com/ and log in to your account.
5. Create the folder with a suitable name by clicking on the ‘Create’ option.
6. Click on the folder you have created.
7. Click on the ‘Upload’ button.
8. A ‘File Upload’ window opens up.
9. Browse to the folder on your system where the images and photos from your Dropbox accounts are stored.
10. Select the photos that you wish to upload. After the successful upload of your files, you will see message displayed on the screen “Upload Complete.”
