How to Tag People in Instagram Photos?

Instagram is a popular social networking site which allows you to share photos and videos with other people in the world. It allows you to tag your friends on the photo that you share on the Instagram account. When you tag people in Instagram photo, they will get a notification that you have added a picture of them. There are two ways to Tag People in Instagram Photos. You can tag people in your photo as you are sharing it and you can add people to a photo which you have already uploaded. Currently, tagging is available for the Android and iPhone apps.

To Tag People in Your Photo as your are Sharing it:

  1. Go to http://instagram.com/ & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
  2. Download "Instagram App" on your phone from the Play store & launch it.
  3. Open "Instagram app" on your phone.
  4. Select a photo to share on Instagram from your camera roll / gallery or take a picture.
  5. When you have the photo selected in the "Share" screen, tap "Tag People" button.
  6. Tap the person you wish to tag.
  7. Start entering their name or username and select them from the dropdown menu. if you don't see the person you are looking for, tap "Search for a person" option.

To Add People to a Photo You have Already Uploaded:
  1. Go to http://instagram.com/ & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
  2. Download "Instagram App" on your phone from the Play store & launch it.
  3. Open "Instagram app" on your phone.
  4. open the photo which you want to tag.
  5. Tap "..." (Apple iOS) or "Three vertical dots" (Android) located below the photo.
  6. Select "Tag People" option.
  7. This is how you can tag people in Instagram photo.
