Last Updated :You can backup photos from your iPhoto library to Dropbox cloud storage service and view them in that service's iOS app. You can also download them locally to your device. You need to download and install the latest version of the Dropbox Desktop application to import photos from your iPhotos library to Dropbox. When you install Dropbox on your Mac, it will create a special folder (known as Dropbox folder). Anything you add into Dropbox folder, it will automatically sync to your Dropbox account. You can drag your iPhoto library to Dropbox folder directly from the Picture folder on you Mac.
Here are the steps to Sync Images from Computer or iPhoto Using Dropbox:
- Go to https://www.dropbox.com/ & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
- Download "Dropbox App" on your Mac from the Apple App store & launch it.
- Make sure iPhoto is not running or go to iPhoto and choose "Quit iPhoto".
- Copy your "iPhoto Library" file into your Dropbox folder.
- Launch iPhoto and make sure it is working properly. To launch iPhoto Library, simply double-click the iPhoto Library icon which you copied in Dropbox folder. It will automatically sync to your Dropbox folder.
- Now, when you add new photos to iPhoto Library, make any changes to existing photos or organize them, then it will automatically backed up to Dropbox.

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
