Here’s something which would help you find that photo, quickly. Apple offers a feature or an ability to search for photos by people, places or things. It uses advanced face recognition technology to group photos by people and lets you pinpoint a photo onto where you took it. Photos even recognize scenes or objects in your pictures which helps you find them easily.
Steps to follow:
- Open the Photos app, then tap the 'Search' button (the little blue magnifying glass) that appears at the top of the screen when you’re in the Photos, Memories or Albums tabs.
- Once you are inside the search interface, you can type keywords that will help you find the things you’re looking for. They can be names, places or things like ‘dog’, ‘cat’, ‘iPhone’ or ‘car.’
- You can even ask Siri to help find your photos, with commands like “Find my pictures with cats in them”.
- To organize your photos by who’s in them, you simply have to tap a group of photos of someone and add the person’s name. You can also mark people as favorites so they’re easier to find.
- The 'Place' album lets you view all your photos, or Live Photos on a new map layout.
- Zoom in to reveal more photos at the specific location you took them. You can also easily search your images for things like cars or trees or snow.
This has made it immensely easier to find the photos you’re looking for in large libraries, and it’s so simple to use.

PicBackMan was an answer to many a prayer. How can I get this MASSIVE collection of photos onto a service that cripples uploading? PicBackMan.
