How to Restore Deleted Photos & Videos in Google Drive?

Last Updated :

Google Drive allows you to create a folder to backup photos, videos and files, organize them, edit them, move to another folder, delete them, permanently delete them and restore them from the trash. By mistake you delete your photo or video and you want that, then you can restore it from your trash. You can restore photos and videos from Google Drive on the web or from your computer, but you can not restore them from the Google Drive mobile app.

Restore Deleted Photos & Videos on the Web:

  1. Go to https://drive.google.com & sign in to your account.
  2. Click "Trash" tab located at the left side of the window.
  3. Right-click the photo.
  4. Select "Restore" option.

Restore Deleted Photos & Videos on Mac/PC:

  1. Open the trash on your desktop.
  2. Select a photo or video which you want to restore and drag it to Google Drive folder on your desktop.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
