If you don't want to Move your Photos to your computer using iTunes, then treating iPhone as a digital camera, here are some steps to be followed for transfer:

  1. Connect your iPhone to the computer or you laptop with a USB cable. Do not run iTunes.
  2. Unlock your iPhone, else the iPhone would be found in the computer, but you won’t be able to get access to any Photos.
  3. Go to ‘My Computer’. You would find iPhone in the ‘Portable Devices’.
  4. Right click on the iPhone and select ‘Import Pictures and videos’.
  5. Select the Photos you want to move and copy and paste them to the desired location on your computer.
