How to Move Dropbox Folder to a New Location on Windows 8?

Dropbox is a cloud storage service operated by Dropbox Inc. If you want to move Dropbox folder to a new location on Windows 8, then download and install 'Dropbox Desktop Application' on your computer. It creates a folder on your systems hard disk. The folder is named "Dropbox". If you decide to move the Dropbox folder location, then it will keep the same name as before and can not be change by using the move feature.

Here are the steps to Move Dropbox Folder to a New Location on Windows 8:

  1. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/ & sign in to your account.
  2. Download and install "Dropbox Desktop Application" on Windows 8.
  3. Click "Dropbox icon" from your system tray.
  4. Click "Gear" icon.
  5. Select "Preferences..." from the menu.
  6. Click "Account" tab.
  7. Select "Move..." option to move the Dropbox folder location.
  8. Select the new location for your Dropbox folder.
  9. This way your Dropbox folder will be moved to a new location on Windows 8.
