If you want to edit your SmugMug videos into iMovie, then you'll have to download them to your Mac. SmugMug allows you to batch download videos. To download, sign in to your SmugMug account click "Organize" button and browse the video gallery that you want to download. Click "Tools" option and then select "Download All" option. It will create a .zip archive of your video gallery. Once created an archive, click "Done" button. Now you are ready to import your downloaded videos to iMovie.
Here are the steps to Migrate Videos from SmugMug to iMovie on Mac:
- Go to http://www.smugmug.com/ & sign in to your account.
- Once you have signed into your account, click "Organize" button located at top of the window.
- You will see all your photo & video galleries.
- Open the video gallery which you want to download.
- Click "Tools" option located at the top menu bar.
- Select "Download All" option.
- SmugMug will start to create a .zip archive of your chosen gallery.
- You will get a message "Click the link below to download an archive of this gallery's images".
- Click "Done" button.
- Your SmugMug videos will now be downloaded to Mac.
- Open "iMovie".
- Click "File" menu.
- Select "Import" and then "Movies" option.
- Select the video which you want to import.
- Select the default size for importing HD video. Choose "Large" option and click "Ok" button.
- Select a location to save the video file.
- You will see the option to add the video to an existing Event or create a new Event.
- If you are saving the video to the same drive, you will have the option to copy or move the file.
- If you are saving the video to internal drive from external drive, you will only have the option to copy the file.
- Your videos will now be migrated from SmugMug to iMovie on Mac.
