There are two ways to send a file to in Gmail i.e. by attaching the file from your computer or by inserting a file into your message using Google Drive. If you want to send a large files, simplify collaboration or keep control over who sees your files, then you can insert a file using Google Drive instead of attaching a file.

  1. Tap "Menu" icon (3 gray dots or your device's menu button).
  2. Tap "Insert from Drive" button.
  3. Find and tap the file which you would like to attach.
  4. Tap "Select" button located in the bottom right corner on the screen.
