How to Fix "Preparing Backup" Issue on Google Photos?
Last Updated :You will get this issue if you are using Google Photos app iOS device. When you go to the Assistant screen, it tells you that it is "Preparing backup" and has finished "Catching up with everything!". But it does not seem to start the upload process. If you see the cloud icon on photos, then that is the indication that the photos has been uploaded. You can also see the photos are uploaded or not by going to http://photos.google.com. To fix "Preparing Backup" issue, download the v1.0.1 update from the Apple App Store via the Updates tab (iTunes link).
