How to change the 'date posted' on Flickr photos?

Last Updated :

You can easily rearrange the display order of your Flickr photos. Flickr organizes your photos by date and if your wish to edit the 'date posted', you can do that. However, anyone visiting your photostream sees everything sorted by date taken by default. You can't change this view for them, but they can toggle to date uploaded on their own.

Edit the Date Posted
  1. Click the image in your Photostream to enlarge to a viewer with a black frame. Click the "More" button that displays three horizontal dots and then select "Edit Title, Tags, and Dates” on the menu. The page opens with a thumbnail photo and fields for editing.
  2. Click the "Date Posted to Flickr" box to open the calendar month. Change the posting date to rearrange the order of your photos. For example, to move this photo to be first in line, you can click today’s date.
  3. Click "Save Changes" to open an enlarged photo. Click "You" and then select "Photostream" to view your rearranged photographs.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
