How to Backup Videos from iPhone to OneDrive, Automatically?

Last Updated :

OneDrive or SkyDrive is photo and video hosting service. It allows you to upload and sync photos and videos to a cloud storage to access them from any local device or web browser. OneDrive allows you to play .mp4, .mov and .m4v video file formats directly from the OneDrive website in most of the web browsers. It doesn't allow you to play DRM-protected video files. If you have videos in a different file format which are not supported by OneDrive, then you can still upload them to OneDrive, but they might not play directly in a browser. To view those videos on a device, you will need to download them first on your computer.

FOLLOWING ARE THE STEPS TO BACKUP VIDEOS FROM IPHONE TO ONEDRIVE, AUTOMATICALLY:

  1. Go to https://onedrive.live.com & sign in to your account.
  2. Download "OneDrive app" on your iPhone from the Apple App store & launch it.
  3. Click "Settings" button in the lower corner of the SkyDrive app window.
  4. Select "Camera Backup" option. Your browser prompts you to allow SkyDrive to access your videos, press OK to allow access.
  5. Move the slider button next to Camera Backup from left to right to turn it ON.
  6. Now anything you add in the Camera Upload folder on your iPhone will be automatically backup up to OneDrive.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
