How to Add Photos to a Dropbox Folder on Android?

DropBox is a cloud storage service which helps you to backup photos & videos from mobile devices and your computer to an online storage space. Dropbox has mobile apps for various platforms like Android, iOS, Blackberry, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Folders are the easiest way to store and organize a bunch of photos. Dropbox allows you to create a folder to add your photos on Android phone. Creating folders does not take an extra space in your Dropbox account, not does it change the locations of your photos.

Here are the steps to Add Photos to a Dropbox Folder on Android:

  1. Go to & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
  2. If you have 'DropBox app' installed on your Android phone, launch it. Or else download it from the App store.
  3. Tap "DropBox app" on your Android phone.
  4. Tap menu bar located on your Android phone.
  5. Select "New folder" option.
  6. A "Create new folder" window opens up.
  7. Specify a folder name for your photo album and tap "Create" button.
  8. Tap menu bar located on your Android phone and select "Upload here" option.
  9. Select "Photos or Videos" option.
  10. Select the photos which you want to add.
  11. Tap "Upload" button located on the screen.
  12. All your photos will now be added to a Dropbox folder.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!

It's AWESOME!! I have tens of thousands of pictures...and they are now successfully uploaded to SmugMug, where they are safely backed up, and I can edit and organize them. If you are hesitating about using PicBackMan, hesitate no longer...try it...and you'll be glad you did!!
