Google Photos has a Auto Backup feature on Android and iOS device. But, there are some compatibility issues with the new Photos app for Mac. As a temporary, to solve this issue, you can create a symlink to your Photos library's "Masters" folder which Auto Backup allow you to select.
Here are the steps to Google Photos Auto Backup with new Apple Photos app:
- Go to Finder on your Mac.
- Find your Photos Library which is located in your "Pictures" folder.
- Command-click or Right-click on your Photos library and select "Show Package Contents" option.
- Open the Terminal app.
- Type "CD pictures" and press "Enter" on your keyboard.
- You will see the directory changing to your pictures folder.
- Type "LN -s " into the terminal.
- Go back to your Finder window.
- Click and drag the Masters folder into the Terminal window.
- You will enter the location of the "Masters" folder into Terminal.
- Press Enter on your keyboard.
- You should now have a folder that can be selectable by Auto Backup.

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!

PicBackMan was an answer to many a prayer. How can I get this MASSIVE collection of photos onto a service that cripples uploading? PicBackMan.
