Basic camera accessories Moms should invest in

Having just a camera is not enough. Parents these days love to buy the best cameras and invest a lot of money into DLSRs.

But Moms & Dads out there should also know that good accessories are equally important and necessary in some cases. What are the absolutely necessary camera accessories which you must have in order to enhance the quality of your photos? Here is a small list:

1.  Camera case: Investing in a good camera bag is important. It not only protects your precious camera but also makes it easy to carry extra lenses and other paraphernalia. A good camera case should be well padded and have enough space for camera, charger, extra batteries and lenses. And any other accessories which you have.

2. Tripod: A tripod is essential so that you can shoot sharp and vibration-free photos, especially during night time or in dim light. It is also a great accessory if you have to use the self-timer in your camera very often.

3. Extra storage: Always have extra memory cards handy.  If you do run out of memory space in your camera, then you can reach into your camera case for an extra memory card and pop one right in. For instance, a day-long picnic or a weekend hike where you might not have a laptop to transfer pictures regularly to make space in your existing memory card, an extra one will be very helpful.

4. Polarizer Filter: A polarizer is a great solution to reduce reflections on glass and other shiny objects, which might end up ruining your family pictures. If you are shooting outdoors, then this filter will deepen blue skies and intensifying colour saturation.

5. Waterproof camera case: It is usually a hard-plastic casing for the digital camera. Not many use it, or need it for that matter. But mothers can invest in it to capture some great under-water pictures of their kids or use it during rains without worrying about damaging the camera.
