What should you do, edit photos or add a filter?

Last Updated :

There is no harm in any of the options. You can add pre-defined filters to your picture or edit them later. But, we strongly believe that don't just blindly follow what others are doing. If you want your pictures to be unique and different from other then you must edit them or else use those filters readily available on the apps you use. Whole world is adding same filters to there pictures, making them look similar. If, you ask us, this is the last thing we would ever do to our pictures. It is always better to use any image editing app that just works brilliant on phone. Apps like photoshop express, SnapSeed etc. allow you to make edits like adjusting the contrast, brightness, sharpness, color temperature etc. Its similar to editing pictures on your computer when you capture them using your DSLR or any other point and shoot camera. With these type of editing practices you can actually develop your own style. And yes, it requires lot more efforts than just pick a filter to apply. But, if you seriously want to improve your phone photography skills, then you must edit pictures instead apply a filter that everyone else is using.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
