Most of us have a general tendency to photograph a subject from an eye-level, straight-ahead point of view. We look down on road, look up a tree, look out at sea. By exploring subjects from different angles can make your pictures look better and better. For example, look down from tree, look up the sea, look down the sky. This way you can actually create new and startling compositions. To do so you may have to crawl, jump, walk, climb or move around your subject. Although you may look funny and silly doing all this but getting to such vantage points will result in some amazing pictures.

Shooting from high vantage points can give you more clarity, for example shooting a busy street from the usual angle will only give you heads and faces making you photographs look crowded. But same scene when shot from a high vantage point can show vegetable carts, fruit crates etc. Similarly shooting from a lower angle will make tall things look taller than usual.
