How to Upload Photos to Picasa with Unlimited Storage?

Picasa and Picasa Web Albums is the photo editing and sharing service. It is used to organize your photos. It offers 1GB of free storage space to all its users for storing photos and videos. If you do small changes in uploading option, then you can upload almost unlimited photos to your account. You can connect your Google+ with Picasa and remove the limitation of 1GB storage.

To enable unlimited photo storage on Picasa, you just need to change the settings when you are uploading photos.

For Non-Google+ Users:

If you are non-Google+ user, then you can upload photo resolution less than 800x800 pixels and videos under 15 minutes. If you are uploading photos larger than 800x800 pixels to Picasa Web Albums and you have reached storage limit, then Google will automatically re-size them and won't count towards your free storage limit.

For Google+ users:

If you are a Google+ user and uploading photos up to 2048x2048 pixels and videos shorter than 15 minutes, then it won't eat up your storage space. If you are using Picasa Desktop Application to upload photos to Picasa Web, then you will get tow options i.e "Original size" or "Best for Web sharing". If you select "Best for Web sharing" option, then Picasa will decide what size is best for you to upload. If you select this option, you can upload as many photos as you want.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
