How to switch between photo libraries in iPhoto?

You can create multiple photo libraries to organize your photos, albums, slideshows, projects (such as books, cards, and calendars), and then switch between the libraries. Using more than one iPhoto library is an easy way to organize your expansive and ever growing photo collection. Multiple iPhoto libraries are easy to set up and switch between. iPhoto lets you switch among multiple libraries, which is a great way to keep your personal photos separate from your work-related ones. 
  1. Quit iPhoto.
  2. Hold down the Option key as you open iPhoto.
  3. Select the library you want to switch to.
  4. Click Choose.
