Last Updated :If you are wondering about how to retrieve your photos backed-up in Google Drive, I have come up with a solution for you. If you delete a photo from your phone once backed, and you want it back on your phone, you need to download it from ‘Google Drive’ back.
Follow a few steps to retrieve your photos:
- Open ‘Google Drive’.
- Go to ‘Google Photos’ viewed from the main menu and select the photos to be retrieved.
- You can select multiple photos and then click the ‘Download’ option.
- To download single photo, go to the ‘Photos App’,view the photo you want to download and select the ‘Download’ button from ‘Menu’.

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
