How to Permanently Delete Photos and Videos from Photos for OS X?

If you delete photos or videos from Photos app for OS X, then it will not removed from the Photo app. Your deleted photos or videos will stay in Photos for 30 days. Your photos will delete permanently after 30 days by itself. You can recover them before the 30 day elapse.

Here are the steps to Permanently Delete Photos and Videos from Photos for OS X:

  1. Open "Photos" app on you Mac.
  2. Click "File" menu.
  3. Select "Show recently deleted" option.
  4. Click on the photos and videos which you want to permanently delete.
  5. Click "Delete" button located at the top right corner on the screen.
  6. All you photos and videos will now be deleted permanently from Photos for OS X.
