It allows you to backup and sync photos, videos and files to a cloud storage and access them from any device or a web browser. It allows you to keep your photos and videos private, make them public or share them to family and friends. If you share photos, videos and files as a Public, then people does not require a Microsoft account to access. It offers 15GB of free storage space to backup photos, videos and file. Picasa offers 1GB of free storage space to all it users. OneDrive offers more free storage space, so you can backup photos and video to OneDrive. To move Picasa photos to OneDrive, download photos from Picasa to computer and upload them to OneDrive account.
Here are the steps Move Photos from Picasa Web to OneDrive:
- Go to https://picasaweb.google.com/ & sign in to your account.
- You will see all your photo and video albums.
- Click your photo from an album which you want to download.
- You will see a photo in bigger size.
- Click "Actions" button located at top of the photo.
- Select "Download photo" option.
- Your browser prompts you to save .zip file, then click "Save" and specify a location to download. The downloaded zip file will contain the photo from the Picasa web.
- Your Photo will now be downloaded to computer.
- Go to https://onedrive.live.com & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create a Microsoft account.
- Once you are signed in to your account, you will see a set of Microsoft services at the top. Select "OneDrive".
- You will see 2 options "Create" & "Upload".
- Click "Create" button & select "Folder" option. Specify a folder name (name of your photo album) to upload photos.
- Click on the folder you created.
- Click "Upload" button located in the top menu bar to upload photos to this folder.
- A "File upload" window opens up. Browse & select photos which you want to upload.
- This is how you can move photos from Picasa Web to OneDrive.

PicBackMan was an answer to many a prayer. How can I get this MASSIVE collection of photos onto a service that cripples uploading? PicBackMan.
