How to Migrate Videos from iPhoto Library to Google Photos on Mac?

If you want to migrate videos from iPhoto Library to Google Photos, download "Google Photos Backup" on your Mac. Google Photos desktop application allows you to add "Picture" folder, Apple Photo library, iPhoto Library folder and much more. If you want to migrate selected videos, then right-click on "iPhoto Library" and select "Show Package Contents" option and then click "Masters" folder. Select the videos which you want to migrate and right-click on them and select "Make alias" option and drag the alias to sidebar. This helps you to migrate selected videos to Google Photos from iPhoto Library.

Following are the steps to Migrate Videos from iPhoto Library to Google Photos on Mac:

  1. Download and install "Google Photos Backup" desktop application on your Mac.
  2. Go to https://photos.google.com/ & sign in to your account.
  3. A "Google Photos Backup" window opens up.
  4. You will see folders such as iPhoto Library, Photos Library, Picture folder and more.
  5. Click "iPhoto Library" folder.
  6. Right-click on "iPhoto Library".
  7. Select "Show Package Contents" option.
  8. Click "Masters" folder.
  9. Here you will see Year wise folders, click on it, then click month wise folders and then date wise folders.
  10. Browse the video folder and right-click on the folder which you want to migrate.
  11. Select "Make alias" option.
  12. Drag the alias to sidebar and click "Choose" button.
  13. Now you will see "Google Photos Backup" window.
  14. Click "Ok" button.
  15. This way you can migrate videos from iPhoto Library to Google Photos on Mac.
