How to Migrate Photos and Videos from iCloud Drive to Google Photos on Mac?

Migrating photos and videos from iCloud Drive to Google Photos on Mac is easy. To do so, you need to enable iCloud Drive and install "Google Photos Desktop Uploader" on your Mac. When you enable iCloud Drive on Mac, you will see an iCloud Drive folder in Finder Window. To migrate photos and videos to Google Photos, open "Google Photos" and sign in to your account. Select the iCloud Drive folder which you want to migrate. If you want to migrate some of the photos and videos, then open iCloud Drive folder and select them. One you have done, click "Start Backup" button and then "Ok" button.

Here are the steps to Migrate Photos and Videos from iCloud Drive to Google Photos on Mac:

  1. Go to https://photos.google.com/apps & download "Google Photos Desktop Uploader" on your Mac.
  2. Install "Google Photos Desktop Uploader" on your Mac.
  3. Sign in to your Google account.
  4. Select the iCloud Drive folder which you want to migrate. You can also open iCloud Drive folder and select the photos and videos that you would like to migrate.
  5. Choose a photo size i.e "High quality" or "Original".
  6. Click "Start Backup" button.
  7. Click "Ok" button.
  8. You will see "Google Photos" icon on your computer.
  9. When you click on "Google Photos" icon, you will get "Pause Backup", "View Uploaded Photos", "Go to Google Photos", "Settings", "Help", "About" and "Quit" options.
  10. If you want to view uploaded photos and videos, then click "View Uploaded Photos" option.
  11. This is how you can migrate photos from iCloud Drive to Google Photos on Mac.
