Here's a way to free up your iPhone's storage space by importing photos to Windows PC with the help of AutoPlay feature.  AutoPlay is a Windows feature that automatically detects photos and video folders on your phone storage and you can directly go to the desired folder without manually browsing it.  Following are the steps how you can import iPhone photos to Windows PC to free up storage space.

  1. Before you begin, ensure that your iOS software is updated on your iPhone.
  2. Enable AutoPlay on your Windows 7.  Here's how : Click the Start Menu > Control Panel > Search for AutoPlay > AutoPlay > Turn on "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices".
  3. Connect your iPhone to Windows PC via USB cable.
  4.  Click on 'Import Pictures and Videos'.  It would show you the collection of photos and you need to select the photos you want to transfer by clicking 'Import'.
Hence transferring photos or videos to Windows PC is easy and thereby saves storage after you delete your imported content from your  iPhone.
