How to Export Events from iPhoto Library?

If you want to export an Event from iPhoto Library, then you can create a tag to keep track of exported photos. Creating a tag to your event folder is useful to kepp track of the photos you have exported.

To assign keywords to your photos, open "iPhoto" on your Mac and click "View" menu and select "Keywords" option. You have another option that, click "Info" button located at the bottom right corner of the screen, here you willl see "Keywords" option. Now select an "Event" and add the keywords "exported" to the event. Your keyword will now be added to all the photos in the event. You can also add keywords to an individual photos or groups of photos. If you select multiple photos, then the keywords you enter will be applied to all the photos. Click "Info" button located in the toolbar. A Information pane will opens up. Click "Keywords" and then click "Add a Keywords" and then type your keyword into the Keywords field and Click "Return" button.

If you want to export an Events from iPhoto, then create an another main folder to save your photos. To do so, go to "Finder" and then "Picture" folder and create a sub-folder i.e. "From-iPhoto". This will help you to differentiate between new photos from your camera and from the iPhoto. To export an Events from iPhoto Library, open "iPhoto" and click "Events" tab and select the event which you want to export. Now Click "File" tab and select "Export" option. A pop up window opens up. Choose "jpeg" in File type or Kind and click "Export" button and then choose your destination folder which you have created i.e. "From-iPhoto".

If you have created keywords and places in iPhoto you Must choose JPEG in the export screen. If you choose "Original" in "File Type", iPhoto will NOT embed the keywords and GPS data in your exported photos.
