How to download photos from SmugMug?

Last Updated :

If you want to share a download link with friends and family or your clients you can do that from SmugMug organizer window. To share a download link with friends and family follow the process below:
  1. Click Organize > Organize Site, and select the gallery you'd like to download. Click the download button, and then pick Download Gallery.
  2. SmugMug will then create a .zip file of your gallery and send you the .zip link when it’s ready, so you don’t have to hang around waiting.
  3. The link will be active for a maximum of two weeks. So, ask your friends and family members or clients to retrieve it before the link expires. If you don't get to it in time, just go back to the gallery and repeat the above process to generate a new .zip file.
Note: Each time you upload more photos to the gallery, you'll need to request a fresh backup or the new images won't be included in the zip file.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
