How to download a video from Dropbox to computer?

DropBox is a cloud storage & synchronization service which allows you to backup photos, videos, files & important documents to access them from anywhere. Dropbox Inc. was founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi. DropBox offers 2GB of free storage space. Those who need a larger storage space can upgrade to various available paid plans. Their plans start from as low as 100GB for $9.99/month and go as high as 500GB for $49.99/month.

Following are the two ways to download a video from Dropbox to computer:

A. The PicBackMan way:

  2. Go to Migrate tab and click on 'Choose Account to Migrate' button. Now select Dropbox from the dropdown list of associated accounts and click save.
  3. In order to download Dropbox videos to your computer, select the check box corresponding to the 'Computer' icon.
  4. Now click 'Migrate' button that you see at the bottom of the window.
  5. All your Dropbox videos will now be downloaded to your computer.

B. The Other Way
  1. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/ & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
  2. Click "Photos" located at the left side of the window.
  3. You will see all your photos & videos.
  4. Open the video which you want to download. You will see it in full size.
  5. Click "..." i.e. "More actions" located at the bottom-right corner of the window.
  6. Select "Download" option.
  7. Your browser prompts you to save .zip file, then click on "Save" and specify a location to download. The downloaded zip file will contain the video from the Dropbox website.
You can install PicBackMan's Dropbox uploader for Mac from the website and start backing up photos and videos.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!

PicBackMan was really easy to setup and has been running for 3 days now backing up all my locally saved photos to Flickr. My photos are really valuable to me so it's great to be able to have them easily backed up to a secure location.

It's AWESOME!! I have tens of thousands of pictures...and they are now successfully uploaded to SmugMug, where they are safely backed up, and I can edit and organize them. If you are hesitating about using PicBackMan, hesitate no longer...try it...and you'll be glad you did!!
