DedupeHow to Backup Photos and Videos to Google Photos?
Last Updated :Google Photos is a photo and video sharing service which allows you to backup photos and videos to share with others. It has a 'Auto Backup' feature which allows you to backup photos and videos automatically. You have another option to backup photos and videos i.e. using browser on computer. Login to your account and click 'Up arrow with cloud' icon and then upload the photos. It will prompt you 2 options 'Create album' and 'Add to album'. Choose one of the 2 options given to you.
Here are the steps to Backup Photos and Videos to Google Photos:
- Go to https://photos.google.com/ & sign in to your account.
- Once you have signed in to your account, you will see all your photos and videos.
- Click "Up arrow with cloud" icon located at the top of the window.
- A "File upload" window opens up. Browse & select photos and videos which you want to upload.
- Once your photos and videos are successfully uploaded, you will be prompted 2 options i.e "Create album" & "Add to album".
- Click "Add to album" option to backup your photos and videos.
- A "Select an album" window opens up.
- Click "Check mark" icon located on an album.
- Click "Select" button.
- Your photos and videos will now be backed up to Google Photos.

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!

PicBackMan was an answer to many a prayer. How can I get this MASSIVE collection of photos onto a service that cripples uploading? PicBackMan.
