How to Add Photos and Videos to Dropbox?

Dropbox is an online cloud storage service provided by Dropbox Inc. It allows you to upload, share, access photo / video files and folders via browser, desktop application and mobile. You can easily add photos and videos to Dropbox from the Dropbox website, on your Mac and on your Windows PC. When you install Dropbox on your computer, it creates a dedicated folder called "Dropbox". Browse your photos and videos on your computer & simply drag-and-drop them to Dropbox folder. You can select more than one file at a time to upload to Dropbox from the website.

There are 3 ways to Add Photos and Videos to Dropbox:


Add Photos and videos from the Dropbox Website:
  1. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/ & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
  2. Install "Dropbox desktop application" on your computer. It creates a folder on your systems hard disk. The folder is named "Dropbox".
  3. Click "Upload" button located at the top of the menu bar.
  4. A pop-up window opens up. Click "Choose File" button.
  5. A "File Upload" window opens up.
  6. Select the photos and video which you want to upload. Click "Open" button.
  7. Click "Done" button.
  8. All your photos and videos will now be uploaded to Dropbox.

Add Photos and videos on Mac OS X:
  1. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/ & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
  2. Download & install "Dropbox Desktop Application" on your Mac.
  3. After installing Dropbox on Mac OS X, it creates a folder on your Mac. A folder called "Dropbox" & it will be created inside your home folder in the finder.
  4. Simply drag your photos directly from your Mac to a location in your Dropbox.
  5. All your photos and videos will now be added to Dropbox.

Add Photos and videos on Windows PC:
  1. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/ & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
  2. Download & install "Dropbox Desktop Application" on your Windows PC.
  3. After installing Dropbox on windows PC, it creates a "Dropbox" folder on your PC. It will be created inside your My Documents folder.
  4. Browse through your photos and videos on your computer & simply drag-and-drop them to Dropbox folder. You will see a blue icon located at top right corner on your computer, this means your file is syncing with dropbox. When the icon turns into a green checkmark syncing is complete.
  5. All your photos and videos will now be added to Dropbox.
