Last Updated :

The purpose does never really matters when you take a picture. The main motive should always be to strive to do your best and show your best. Great photography is not always about great locations or an expensive gear. Sometimes its just the way your images stand out of the rest. There's something in / about pictures that compel viewers to take a longer and a closer look at images. You too can produces and take such pictures by attaining a basic understanding of photographic principles. Learn some of the photography technique and if you are using a smartphone, learn some photo apps and nurture the passion to become a better photographer. iPhones are the most popular cameras on Flickr community, the reason behind is its extensive use and easy to use features. Your iPhone cameras really can make nice looking pictures if you know how to use it right. There are people who click a lot of pictures using the iPhone camera but only a few know how to put it to best use. If you are among them, read on the following tips on how to take your iPhone photography to next level. 1. Start with taking simple shots and gradually move on to complex ones later. There is an observed tendency the beginners often over complicate their pictures by adding too many things in one frame. Moral of the story is, keep your photos simple. 2. Shoot from a low angle. Most of the mobile photographers or say iPhone photographers shoot from the chest height. That is the most convenient angle to shoot but probably not the best one. Find an angle that can give you a whole new perspective to see things differently. It might just give you and interesting angle to shoot from. 3. Shoot from the level of your subject. As we said in the previous point, shooting from a different level can give you an interesting angle. This point specifically applies when photographing children and pets. Get down to their level and shoot. 4. Include shadows in your composition (where ever applicable) : People often ignore the shadows of a subject while taking pictures. All their focus is on the main subject. They are unaware that the shadows can often be even more interesting than the actual subjects of your photos. 5.Take silhouette: Silhouette is one of the most interesting photography technique. As far as iPhone photography is concerned, Silhouette can prove to be a fun way to shoot. Taking a silhouette is must easy than it looks. To take silhouettes with your iPhone, you just have to do one thing i.e. shoot against the light source.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
