Last Updated :

The quest for excellent photographs, for a passionate photographer is endless. Weddings are wonderful occasions for a magical spread to be captured. And offering no second chances makes it more crucial for the photographer to learn, master and then take up the wedding photography opportunity. Photography is a gratifying and fulfilling experience and once you’ve taken care of not making some of the common mistakes, it can lead to better end results.

Some Common Mistakes:

1. Inexperience

There are many photographers today, and you would not wish inexperience to be the cause of bad set of photographs being clicked. The best is to intern with a professional photographer, learn to your very best. This will help learning and mastering the professional and will also most definitely reflect in the images being captured.

2. Not having a second shooter

Wedding rituals have many shades, some parallel and a continuous series of shots. It is best to have a second shooter, who can capture the images for the day along with you, this will enable to have some good processing options and in case you forgot to shoot a moment, then the second shooter would at least have clicked it.

3. Inability to capture those perfect eyes

Capturing that eye contact between the couple makes a good shot. The subject(s) not having any eye contact or looking into a void, could be disasters, the photographer has to find the right ways to request poses and looks. Squints and Red Eye are other issues, which crop up, and knowing the best ways to avoid such glitches would give some perfect captures.

4. Using Wrong Focus Mode & ISO

It is important to be able to focus on the subject(s) to capture them well. Incorrect Focus mode will not track your subject(s). The incorrect ISO would have exposure issues. Knowing to set the right ISO will help with increased sensitivity and capture more details with the highest image quality.

5. Not paying attention to detail

Weddings are beautiful stories in a magnificent set-up, with every corner well-thought and planned out. The wedding couple would love to relive every moment of that planned out set-up, apart from the rituals and their folks who come to bless them. The wedding photographer needs to pay attention to detail, and capture all the intricacies.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
