Why we need to backup Photos?

Each one of us owns a digital camera and that means we click hell lot of pictures. Here, we would blame digital cameras for the ease of clicking pictures. BTW did you know that ‘The first permanent photograph taken, required an eight hour exposure’? Coming back on track, with the evolutions of digital cameras, we have developed a habit of clicking tons of photographs of/ for an event / occasion. We keep the best ones and delete the rest. In fact, there are people who have a habit of keeping all the pictures they click. As far as we understand, digital pictures are like soft copies of our memories. You can't go back in time to relive the moment, but you can always look at them and remember. And this is why you need to keep these memories safe and secure. Hence need a backup. Someone rightly said "Photos are like post-it notes on our memories", if not backed up, they are gone forever. So, in order to preserve these memories and keep them safe, we need to create a photo backup.
